LUGPA Postpones Events through April due to Coronavirus

To our members and partners:

We have been carefully monitoring the COVID-19 situation as it unfolds.  In these unprecedented times, while we have remained optimistic, we are also mindful of the recommendations of the CDC with regard to large gatherings of people.

We have made the decision to postpone all LUGPA in-person events through April.  These postponements include the Bladder Cancer Academy in Atlanta, the April Regional Meeting in Miami, the April Rising Chief Residents Summit in Miami and the April DC Fly-Ins.  Further, because the American Urological Association has cancelled the AUA Annual Meeting in Washington DC, the Advanced Bladder Cancer Workshop scheduled for May 14 will also be rescheduled.

We are working with our hotel and travel partners to find alternate dates and/or locations for these events.

If you are registered for the Bladder Cancer Academy, you do not need to take any action with regard to cancelling air travel or hotel reservations. Read more here.

  • The Regional meeting in Miami Beach (rescheduled for July 10-11, 2020) has been cancelled. We will be at that location in March of 2021, but with a new agenda and new faculty.
  • The Regional meeting in Boston is now scheduled for August 28-29, 2020. Still at the Hyatt Regency Boston.
  • The 2020 Rising Chief Resident Summit, originally rescheduled to July 10-11 in Miami Beach is now scheduled for August 28-29, 2020 and will be relocated to the Hyatt Regency Boston in Boston, MA.

Our office remains open, with our staff working remotely.  If you call the office, please leave a message and we will return your call.  You may also email the office at [email protected]

We look forward to a swift resolution of this health crisis – we know you are on the front lines of patient care and need to focus your efforts on the needs of your patients as well as your colleagues, employees and practices.  We will provide updates about issues like telemedicine options as information becomes available.
