LUGPA Requests Nominations for Board of Directors

Colleagues,

Candidates are being solicited by LUGPA for several positions on the LUGPA Board of Directors. To be qualified as a Director of the Board, each person must be employed by a Member in good standing with the Corporation; must abide in all respects with the corporate policies as set forth in the LUGPA Bylaws; and must characterize personal commitment to LUGPA’s values.

A comprehensive description of the work involved and expectations for members serving on the LUGPA Board can be accessed here.

There are two physician/urologist director positions available with a two-year term (potentially renewable twice, for a total of six years) to begin in November 2024. In addition, the positions of Secretary and Treasurer (Treasurer seat is reserved for an administrator candidate) will also be selected. Due to the importance and complexity of the officer positions, individuals with current or prior LUGPA Board experience will be given primary consideration.

Should the Nominating Committee nominate a current Board member for the position of Secretary and/or Treasurer, additional Board seats will become open for a urologist and an administrator from the membership at-large to join the LUGPA Board.

Individuals with an interest in these positions should specify whether their interest is for the Secretary, Treasurer, or an at-large Board position.

For all Board positions, interested individuals should submit a letter of interest and their CV to LaShawn Williams via email ([email protected]) by Friday, March 15, 2024. To be considered for a LUGPA Board seat, all applicants must review the Conflict of Interest Policy and complete the Disclosure of Relevant Financial Relationships.

Thanks to all of you for your dedication to LUGPA's mission and success.

Jonathan Henderson, MD
