Trump signs bill extending Paycheck Protection Program through August 8

Over the July 4th weekend, President Trump signed a bill extending the Paycheck Protection Program for another five weeks. The original Paycheck Protection Program was set to end on June 30. With the extension, businesses now have through August 8 to apply for assistance. $130 billion remains in the fund. Congress will reconvene after the July 4th 2020 recess to determine the next steps for allocation to small businesses.
