Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee

The LUGPA Board of Directors is happy to announce the formation of a committee that will operate as an advisory committee for LUGPA and our member practices on matters of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee will report to the LUGPA Board of Directors. This newly formed committee's goal is to establish a climate where everyone, regardless of gender, age, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or any other biases, feels appreciated and valued. LUGPA is dedicated to being inclusive and offering equal opportunities for progress in all facets of our work.

The committee will be asked to create new learning opportunities as we strive for DEI competency through the organization and our member practices and will identify resources for our underrepresented communities. The committee will also advise the Board of Directors on actions to improve DEI in Board and leadership positions.

If you are a LUGPA member interested in contributing your time and expertise through service on this committee, please send a brief email explaining the rationale for your interest as well as any relevant experience to the LUGPA office by September 26, 2022. A chair and committee members will be chosen out of this pool of applicants.
