RECAP of the 2026 Global Prostate Cancer Congress

Highlights from the 2026 LUGPA Global Prostate Cancer Congress

The 2026 LUGPA Global Prostate Cancer Congress brought urology and oncology leaders together January 10–13 at the Grand Hyatt Deer Valley in Park City, Utah, for three days of education, collaboration, and connection focused on the full continuum of prostate cancer care.

Designed by LUGPA in collaboration with Specialty Networks, the program delivered evidence-based updates and practical insights spanning prevention, diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, and health policy. Sessions explored integrated cancer care models, the role of diet and the microbiome, APP-directed clinics, caregiver and patient perspectives, and strategies to enhance the patient and provider journey.

Clinical highlights included advances in diagnostics and imaging—such as PSMA-guided approaches, novel PET tracers, MRI, AI-supported pathology, and biomarker-driven testing—as well as in-depth discussions on genetics and genomics, localized and hormone-sensitive disease, and next-line therapies for castration-resistant prostate cancer, including radioligand therapy and PARP inhibitors. Dedicated sessions also addressed ADT side-effect management, cardio-oncology considerations, and survivorship.

The agenda balanced cutting-edge science with real-world application through expert panels, point-counterpoint debates, case discussions, and selected abstract presentations. Industry-supported symposia, exhibit hall programming, and networking events—including Industry Night—provided additional opportunities for engagement and peer connection. With built-in free time to enjoy the Deer Valley winter setting, the Congress delivered a distinctive blend of high-level education, meaningful dialogue, and collegial networking.

Photos from the meeting can be found on social media using #LUGPAgpcc, and educational content from the Congress will be made available on LUGPALearn in the coming months.
