Prostate Cancer Academy 2026 Brings Experts Together in Texas

     
         
     
         

On March 19–20, 2026,  Specialty Networks and LUGPA hosted the Prostate Cancer Academy in Irving, Texas, bringing together urologists and other specialists committed to expanding the quality, coordination, and scope of care for prostate cancer patients.

Over two days, expert faculty shared insights into the rapidly evolving prostate cancer landscape, highlighting advances in diagnostics, imaging, biomarkers, and personalized treatment strategies across the disease continuum. Sessions explored emerging applications of PSMA-PET imaging, predictive and prognostic testing, and evolving treatment approaches for localized, advanced, and metastatic disease. Presentations were complemented by case-based discussions and multidisciplinary perspectives designed to help clinicians apply the latest evidence in real-world practice.

New this year, the CME-accredited portion of the program offered approximately 3.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™, accredited by Pinnacle, providing attendees with additional opportunities for continuing medical education while engaging with the latest clinical developments.

The program also featured opportunities for peer exchange and networking, including exhibit hall discussions and evening receptions that fostered collaboration among attendees from across the country.

Prostate Cancer Academy 2025 Held in Texas 

The 2025 Prostate Cancer Academy, hosted by Specialty Networks and LUGPA, convened March 20–22 at the Westin Irving at Las Colinas in Irving, TX. This premier educational program brought together physicians, residents, and fellows dedicated to advancing the care of prostate cancer patients.

The meeting opened Thursday evening with a welcome reception and networking dinners, setting the stage for two days of intensive learning. Friday’s sessions, led by renowned experts including Neal Shore, MD, David Morris, MD, Phillip Koo, MD, Eleni Efstathiou, MD, PhD, and John Davis, MD, featured timely updates on ADT selection, high-risk localized disease, PSMA imaging, radioligand therapies, and biomarkers in advanced disease. Attendees also engaged in discussions on end-of-life care, real-world evidence, and community urology perspectives, complemented by pipeline updates from industry partners. A poster session and evening networking opportunities reinforced collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Saturday’s agenda focused on diagnostics, prognostics, and treatment trends, highlighting advances in surgical and radiation therapy approaches. The program concluded with summaries from the co-directors, underscoring progress in prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.

With a highly interactive format, case-based discussions, and a strong faculty lineup, the Academy delivered practical, practice-ready insights—equipping attendees to expand the quality and scope of prostate cancer care nationwide.

Hosted by Specialty Networks and LUGPA, the Prostate Cancer Academy brings together those who have an active interest in increasing the quality and scope of care for prostate cancer patients in their practices.

Lectures and discussions were held on the most recent breakthroughs and approvals for all stages of prostate cancer. Expert faculty presented, discussed, and debated diagnostic and therapeutic options for prostate cancer via didactic lectures as well as case-based and panel discussions. The meeting started with a networking reception on Thursday afternoon and ended Saturday mid-morning.

The 2023 event took place May 18-20 outside of Dallas with 88 participants in attendance (including faculty). The meeting was a unique opportunity for attendees to interact with the top thought leaders who play pivotal roles in advancing the treatment of prostate cancer. 

Lectures and discussions were held on the most recent breakthroughs and approvals for all stages of prostate cancer. Expert faculty presented, discussed, and debated diagnostic and therapeutic options for prostate cancer via didactic lectures as well as case-based and panel discussions.
