Chad Chubb, a certified financial planner (CFP®) and certified student loan professional (CSLP®) talks about financial planning for early-career physicians including student loans, buying a home, investing, insurance, retirement and common financial pitfalls that can be avoided. Chad is founder of WealthKeel LLC, a trusted financial planning partner for physicians and their families nationwide. At the end, Chad answers questions sent in by the LUPGA Forward group.

Resident Award Criteria Redefined - Nominate a Resident before August 31
LUGPA Forward is encouraging Residency Program Directors and member practices who partner with residency programs to identify an extraordinary resident for the Resident Clinical Excellence Award - a merit award that recognizes qualities in a Resident that show their potential to be a highly effective leader at a private practice. 

You are encouraged to nominate a resident or reach out to any exceptional residents you may know to let them know about this opportunity. The nominee will require a letter of support from their program director, faculty or chair to be considered. The applicant must be actively enrolled in an ACGME-approved urology residency program in the United States or in an approved fellowship. Award recipient(s) will be recognized at the LUGPA Annual Meeting in Chicago in early November with a plaque and cash award of $1000. The 2024 submission deadline is August 31, 2024. Learn more here.

LUGPA expresses deep concern over the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services' (CMS) recent proposal to reduce physician reimbursements as part of the 2025 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (MPFS).
