LUGPA’s Community Practice Coalition Wins ASAE Gold Award
LUGPA has been honored with a 2026 ASAE Power of Associations Gold Award by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) in recognition of its outstanding Community Practice Coalition, an initiative that demonstrates the powerful role associations play in solving challenges, strengthening industries and professions, and improving communities.
Established under the vision of LUGPA past president Dr. Evan Goldfisher, the Coalition unites a diverse alliance of medical specialty groups—including OrthoForum, the U.S. Women’s Health Alliance (USWHA), and the American Academy of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery. The coalition's core purpose is to protect physician autonomy and secure patient access to independent, community-based care by developing unified advocacy strategies, addressing key regulatory and legislative hurdles, and coordinating national policy efforts.
The ASAE Power of Associations Awards recognize associations that leverage their unique ability to convene stakeholders, inspire collaboration, and drive meaningful change. Through innovative programs, partnerships, and advocacy efforts, award recipients exemplify how associations create lasting impact that extends well beyond the members they serve.
