New Session:
Moderators: Josh Langston, MD; Neal Patel, MD; Jeffrey Spier, MD Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) play an important role in enhancing the urology practice’s ability to improve patient flow and maximize reimbursement for services provided. Adding APPs to a practice can expand capacity and productivity, reduce fatigue for the urologist and enhance the overall patient experience. This session will feature a panel of APPs from LUGPA practices who have demonstrated ways to successfully onboard, train and retain APPs into their urology practice. You will take away strategies of how APPs can be trained to select and manage patients for various therapies and perform outpatient procedures to reduce urologists time spent on those procedures. This session will provide insight into how APPs can provide care outside of the clinic and develop standardized protocols and clinical pathways that will add value to specialized care such as prostate cancer.
