A recent national survey of 360 independent practice leaders found that 94% have been approached about acquisition or consolidation in the past two years, with more than one-third receiving four or more offers. Yet 69% remain confident they will stay independent. About the speakers:

Don Trigg, Chief Executive Officer, Veradigm

       
        Don Trigg  

Don Trigg is a healthcare technology veteran with more than two decades of experience driving innovation and operational transformation. Before joining Veradigm, he served as CEO of apree health, where he leveraged data and technology to scale a multi-state, next-generation advanced primary care model. Prior to apree health, Don was President of healthcare IT innovator Cerner Corporation with over $5 billion in revenue. During his extended tenure, Trigg held roles of increasing revenue and strategic responsibility. As President, he led the electronic medical record, revenue cycle and strategic growth businesses which included the high-growth health network and life sciences business units.

Trigg has an entrepreneurial passion for scaling early-stage companies, not only at apree health leading up to its acquisition by Elevance, but also natural language processing pioneer CodeRyte leading up to its acquisition by 3M. Finally, as Washington’s role in healthcare grows, Trigg has deep public policy experience, having spent a decade in Washington, D.C. serving in senior legislative and executive branch roles.

Trigg graduated from St. Lawrence University where he played varsity tennis. He is the co-author of The New Health Economy: Ground Rules for Leaders (Georgetown University Press). He is a member of the board of Nashville-based Mosai. He and his wife have three sons and are active in a set of philanthropic efforts focused on tackling the challenge of healthcare affordability.

 

Dr. Tamra Lewis, Physician, Comprehensive Urologic Care, SC

Dr. Tamra Lewis holds board certification in Urology and Urogynecology/Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery. She practices in Lake, Kane, and Cook Counties, and her hospital affiliations include Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital, Ascension Saint Alexius, and Advocate Sherman Hospital.

Dr. Lewis received her B.A. in Biology from Luther College in 1994, and she obtained her Medical Doctorate in 1999 from the University Of Iowa Carver College Of Medicine. In 2005, Dr. Lewis completed her Surgical and Urology residencies at the University of Nebraska and then went on to complete a fellowship in Female Urology and Voiding Dysfunction at Metro Urology in Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN.

Dr. Lewis’s professional interests include management of incontinence, voiding dysfunction, bladder prolapse, and urinary tract infections. She is a member of the American Urological Association, the Society for Urodynamics and Female Urology, the Society for Women in Urology, and is a former president of the Chicago Urologic Society. Dr. Lewis has been an invited speaker or presenter for numerous events on topics including Women in Urology, incontinence, overactive bladder, hematuria, and urinary tract infections.

 

Nathan P. Diller, FACHE, CMPE, Chief Operating Officer, Brandywine Urology

 
       
     Nathan P. Diller,
FACHE, CMPE

Mr. Diller serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Brandywine Urology Consultants, P.A. an independent Urology practice in Wilmington, Delaware. With over 15 years of progressive leadership experience in both for-profit and non-profit healthcare service organizations, Nathan is a seasoned healthcare executive focused on aligning people and processes to enhance healthcare delivery. He holds dual Master's degrees in Business Administration and Health Service Administration from Xavier University. A Certified Medical Practice Executive through the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) and a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Nathan is also an active member of the LUGPA Health Policy Committee (since 2023) and serves on the LUGPA Board of Directors (since 2024).
