WUHA presents: Adapting to the Modern Workforce

     

Women’s Urologic Health Alliance Program: Adapting to the Modern Workforce featuring Mara Holton, MD, Kari Bailey, MD and Katie Desiderio, MBA, PhD was presented twice in the afternoon of Friday November 15, 2024 at the LUGPA Annual Meeting

Discussion focused on how to communicate with, hire, and retain providers in the evolving work force. The demographics of urologist has changed and we need to learn how to change with it. The Women’s Urologic Health Alliance conversed with Katie Desidario, an expert in management and communication strategies.

Objectives of this session were to:

  • Review components of the changing workforce and unique challenges it presents. 
  • Discuss strategies for hiring and retaining new urologists.
  • Review key aspects of a parental leave policy. Discuss effective workplace communication.
