Leaders Unite at the 2025 Bladder & Kidney Cancer Academy

The 2025 Bladder & Kidney Cancer Academy, co-hosted by Specialty Networks and LUGPA, convened October 16–18 at the Hilton BNA in Nashville, drawing participants from leading independent urology practices nationwide. Under the direction of Dr. Neal Shore and Dr. Tom Jayram, the Academy delivered an intensive three-day agenda focused on clinical excellence, innovation, and collaboration in the management of kidney and bladder cancers.

The program featured expert presentations on the latest treatment approaches for localized and advanced renal cell carcinoma, non–muscle invasive bladder cancer, and upper tract urothelial carcinoma. Attendees explored advances in imaging, systemic therapies, and biomarkers, as well as surgical and radiation innovations shaping the next decade of genitourinary oncology.

Interactive case discussions, panel debates, and industry updates from leading pharmaceutical and biotech partners provided real-world context and practical takeaways. Physicians engaged in robust dialogue about optimizing patient care pathways and integrating cutting-edge research into independent practice settings.

The Academy also provided an unparalleled opportunity for networking among physicians, residents, and industry partners—strengthening relationships and fostering collaboration across the LUGPA and Specialty Networks communities. As one of the year’s most anticipated specialty meetings, the Bladder & Kidney Cancer Academy reinforced its role as an essential forum for advancing patient outcomes and empowering independent urologists to lead the future of cancer care.
